Australia’s favourite indie rock quartet The Temper Trap will be returning to Southeast Asia for an indoor gig in celebration of the opening of the newly revamped The Bee in Publika on March 9th. This event is the first collaboration between Upfront @ The Bee and After Dark Social Club (ADSC), a subdivision of the Livescape Group that promotes nightlife entertainment.

The Temper Trap are no strangers to the Malaysian scene. Their first appearance in Kuala Lumpur at Future Music Festival Asia in 2013 had 8,000 hardcore fans crowding their arena, and they repeated the madness at Good Vibes Festival last year. The band’s comeback in 2016 was hugely celebrated by fans who had been anticipating their third studio album Thick As Thieves. To date, they have sold more than a million albums and have clocked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify.

The band’s exclusive show at The Bee not only marks the first collaboration with ADSC, it is also in celebration of the reopening of their Publika outlet following a massive facelift. The Bee has upgraded their stage to cater to the high demand of performances, installed a state of the art sound and lighting system, created more space for live shows and a revamped its outdoor space for cosy dining.

The Bee is shifting its focus from becoming a leading food & beverage outlet to a fully-fledged entertainment venue that will host live music and alternative DJ nights.
