After a blistering 2016 that saw her ascend to the highest echelons of the worldwide underground, Russian firestarter Nina Kraviz is capitalizing on her good mojo by launching a new imprint in 2017--Yes, another one.

Named GALAXIID, the brand will be a sub-label of Trip, which Kraviz launched in 2014, but according to Kraviz, GALAXIID will focus on experimental, ambient and psychedelica. We can presume that the label will be home to some weird and obscure stuff, as is only fair considering it is the vanity label of a vanity label!

The label will probbaly sound a little something like this, but stranger and less accessible:

In addition to promising psychedelic cover art, Kraviz has also suggested that the label may release books in addition to music. The first planned releases are works by Russian electronic pioneers Species of Fishes, a Biogen release, and some psychedelic antiquities from Russia and Japan alike.

The first GALAXIID event will take place at the brand new (and fucking massive!) Printworks in London on March 25. Alongside Kraviz, Dopplereffekt, Luke Vibert, 808 State, Bjarki, and PTU will round out a formidable and challenging lineup. Let the chin stroking commence!
