The highly anticipated Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival has just announced the second wave of its line-up, which includes Cuban headliner Alfredo Rodriguez and a handful of standout local acts.
Quincy Jones’ protégé Alfredo Rodriguez will headline the festival on Friday night. The young jazz pianist has already played major jazz festivals all around the world such as Montreux and Detroit Jazz Festival, and has shared the stage with renowned artists like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Patti Austin.
Among the announced local acts are Apartel—a newly launched soul band by Eraserhead front singer Ely Buendia, Philippine reggae purveyors Jeck Pilpil and Peacepipe, tropical bass artist Moophs, beatboxer Microphone Mechanics, RH Xanders, Skarm, CRWN, Eyedress, The Diegos, Mark Zero, and Malasimbo veterans Br3aking Silence, Badkiss and Miro.
These artists will join the all-around line-up consisting of Lefto, Jordan Rakei, Tennyson, Similarobjects, Curtismith and Kristian Hernandez.
Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival is set to take place from March 10 - 12 in the beautiful setting of Mount Malasimbo in Puerto Galera, and 3-day passes are available for P4995. Click here to buy.
