There's really something special about an Ultra after-movie. Trying to cram four days of intense energy and excitement into 8-minutes is a hefty task but Final Kid has stepped up and brought us the most electrifying after-movie we've ever seen.
Following Black Coffee's journey to the festival, the video kicks off with the DJ and producer explaining the essence of the track 'We Dance Again' and how music unifies people from all backgrounds to celebrate life with each other. Bringing together all the elements that make South Africa exciting and unique, the video includes shots of the Orlando Towers, Bo-Kaap, Camps Bay beach, Maboneng and of course Table Mountain.
They then take to the streets of Johannesburg and Cape Town to capture the joy people experience when they're dancing to their favourite tunes - which is ultimately the first and foremost priority for the organisors of Ultra South Africa. South Africa's youngest superstar, DJ Arch Jnr, makes an appearance in the video, controlling the beat as the bassline drops.
The awe-inspiring overhead shots of the Cape and the people of South Africa are a reminder of the beautiful country we live in and remind us why we are called the "Rainbow Nation". You can't help but be instilled with a sense of pride while watching this epic production. Once Coffee arrives at the festival, the party kicks off, capturing Tiesto, Seth Troxler, W&W, Claptone and Skrillex doing what they do best. Stunning crowd shots from day to night convey the energy of the festival in the best way possible, while the light show, pyrotechnics and fireworks top off this amazingly executed after-movie.
While watching this video, you begin to realise the true beauty of the festival. It's not necessarily the massive production or the superstar DJs; it's the fact that Ultra South Africa unifies party-goers from all walks of life, to dance and sing with each other as one. Ultra stands as one of the few events that allow people to leave their agendas at home and be part of something much greater than themselves. It is the Ultranauts who make this festival as exhilarating as it is. All credit due to Ultra South Africa and Final Kid for this exceptional video, we are extremely excited to see what 2017 has in store!
