Swedish DJ, Rivet emerged in the techno scene in 2011, and now, he is in the midst of making a name for himself on a global scale. Over the course of his career, he has graced the most hallowed spots around Europe with a lot of gusto with his exceptional 4-deck vinyl DJ sets. He juggles, cuts, drops and chops at an alarming rate, while still maintaining a perfect flow.

Rivet grew up listening to Bronski Beat and Boytronic before eventually becoming obsessed with jungle and breakbeat in the 90’s. He was soon discovered by Skudge and Kontra-Musik and they began releasing his productions and remixes. He likes doing things his way without having to follow a certain formula. His influences ranges from anything by Baby D to Liaisons Dangereuses, and early Paul Johnson vibes. “I love music that gives energy,” he once said.

Rivet was invited to take over the decks of Club kyō on the 2nd of April at a collaborated event hosted by Midnight Shift, and No Party Here. Party punters were treated to a beautiful blend of offbeat techno tunes by the Swede, and Bristol’s Hodge.
