Miami Music Week: depending on how you view the intense scheduling of dance music's premier party week, the thought of it can either make your mouth salivate and your feet tap at the prospect of all that good music, or it can send your liver into a panicked state of convulsion. For us, we feel both extremes, and that's just how we like it.

Since blossoming into MMW back in 2011 when behemothic EDM festival Ultra exerted a merging of all the parties and the longstanding WMC (Winter Music Conference), the event has become the East Coast’s flagship industry party week. Starting today and rolling through until the 20th, the calendar is absolutely slammed with some of the best electronic music in the world, leaving a cavernous hole in every other major city’s programming for the week.

It’s humid as balls, completely unpredictable, and as trashy a 1980s coke smuggler’s sofa print, but it’s some of the most fun to be had in American dance music. We’ve combed through the extensive list of events and picked out some of our favorites parties at this year’s MMW.
