Sinulog is widely known as on of the biggest annual cultural and religious festivals in the Philippines, where thousands of Cebuanos and fiesta-enthusiasts from other regions gather together to celebrate during the grand street parade which could last the entire day. Dancers and performers from the Visayas area show up in traditional colorful dresses to dance gracefully to the rhythms of drums, trumpets and native congos, celebrating and honoring the Santo Niño. As the local organizers are expecting more and more visitors every year, they recently announced that they will detain revelers who will get drunk and misbehave on the parade route during the grand parade, as part of the security plan to ensure that the Sinulog will be a fun and wholesome event. So be carfeul where you drink!
