UK DJ/Producer Doorly is fast becoming one of the biggest names in the international house music scene.

Since starting his famous Afterparty events in his hometown of Huddersfield, Doorly has turned in Essential Mixes for BBC Radio 1, and DJed at every major club and festival going – even fitting in a stint as Usher’s personal warm up DJ.

Between running his own label and putting on Doorly & Friends parties in London, LA, Amsterdam, Berlin and Ibiza, Doorly produces hits that are heard on dance floors around the globe, including collaborations with Shadow Child, which produced 2014’s massive #1 hit ‘Piano Weapon’, and a side project, Avec, with The Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears.

Doorly’s 12 years as a DJ before entering the production world are evident in his impressive live shows, which see him play across four CDJs, plus samplers and FX units.

He is currently touring Australia, stopping at Sydney’s Chinese Laundry this Saturday for a festive Boxing Day celebration along with one of Australia’s most talked about duos, Set Mo.

Ahead of the gig, we asked Doorly to share his top five tracks of 2015.

1. Denis Sulta - A.A.S (Nite & Day Mix) (Dixon Avenue Basement Jams)

This is just loads of fun from one of my favourite labels. I love how the vocal seems to drift out of time later in the track then snap back in, raw and wonderful.

2. Maceo Plex - Conjure Sex (Ellum)

This man can do no wrong, my favourite producer, always totally unique and impossibly brave and cinematic. This has been my favourite this year, absolutely wrecks any dancefloor.

3. Jamie Jones - Siberian Express (Hot Creations)

An absolute workout of a track, loads of drama, twists and turns and that synth at the start is haunting and beautiful.

4. Gene Farris - The Way U Like (Cajual Records)

Gene Farris is the man, every year he brings out two of the biggest tracks of the year, and this was the one this year for me. It’s one of those tracks that every time you play it five people come up to me and ask me what it is!

5. Damian Lazarus & Ancient Moons - Vermillion (&me Remix) (Crosstown rebels)

This is the track that I wish I made this year - mesmerising stuff!

Make sure head to Chinese Laundry Boxing Day this Saturday so you can catch Doorly in action and hear these huge tracks plus more on Laundry’s massive Nexo sound system. Tickets here.
