1. Burning Man

It says something about the special nature of Burning Man that it maintains its top ranking year after year on lists like these. Sure, you can see some of the world’s best DJs playing in some of the craziest settings all week long. Robot Heart has become world-famous for the sunrise sets from the all-star cast they gather every year. But what makes Burning Man different than every other festival are the random experiences and the amazing people you encounter. The culture, the art, the giving. While, there may not be another event that is harder to get to and takes more preparation, there’s also a reason 60,000-plus tickets sell out in seconds and so many people keep coming back annually. What’s that reason? It truly is the world’s most amazing adult playground.

Don’t miss: While the lineups at Robot Heart and Disco Knights are always ridiculous, make sure you leave time to cruise the Playa and explore all the art.
