We’re emerging on the other side of winter and things are stepping up a notch in the run-up to the start of the festival season. Here we round up 10 parties you need to hit in London in March, from Berghain techno stalwarts to special extended sets to underground Parisian crate-diggers, Londoners are spoilt for choice this month.

8. Skream’s residency at XOYO — 14th March

Gone are the days where Oliver Jones plays wobbly dubstep in dark basements, Skream is now a fully fledged house and techno artist, with an album set to drop on Crosstown Rebels this year. Here he continues his XOYO residency with more stellar guests joining him on the decks, this time Chicago house head Derrick Carter will be in effect, alongside Artwork, whilst Tom Demac will handle proceedings upstairs all night long.

7. MDR at fabric — 7th march

One for the techno heads — Marcel Dettmann hosts room 2 and is bringing along two of his MDR Records stalwarts, Anthony Parasole and Answer Code Request. Expect industrial strength techno, forged in the darkest corners of Berlin and New York. Magda, Samu.l and Oli Furness will also appear in rooms 1 and 2.

6. Hotflush at The Steelyard — 28th March

After a tough 2014 for Scuba, mired be recurring health problems, he returns to London with his Hotflush crew for the first time in over a year. Scuba will be joined by hot techno duo Dense & Pika, Berghain regular Function and Jack Haighton.

5. Jeremy Underground all night long at Corsica Studios — 21st March

With a wide-ranging taste spanning house, disco, funk, soul, techno and acid, Jeremy is a true crate digger and enthralling record selector, guaranteed to provide musical thrills.

4. Dixon all night long at Studio Spaces E1 — 14th March

Electric Minds bring Innervisions boss Dixon to London, for what is sure to be an incredible musical journey. Dixon's unique brand of widescreen and melodic techno suits long sets and the chance to see him spreading his wings is one not to miss.

3. fabriclive at fabric — 6th March

Hitting room 1 in London’s most famous night club will be the Hessle Audio crew, comprised, of course, of Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea. The trio have become household names on the underground circuit and strong proponents of eclectic sets, taking in gritty house, raw techno and thumping bass music. Joining the trio as a special guest will be Glasgow’s Jackmaster, whilst fan-favourite Manchester MC, Chunky, will be hosting proceedings. Rooms 2 and 3 will also be hosted by Exit Recordings and Mood Hut respectively.

2. LEAF Club at Tobacco Dock — 7th March

This is the main event of the London Electronic Arts Festival and the line-up is suitably huge — The Great Hall will see the likes of Tale Of Us, Sasha, Luciano, Chris Liebing and Anja Schneider. If that somehow isn’t enough, then The Car Park will be soundtracked by Pan-Pot and Modeselektor playing a special DJ set. Wait there though, there’s more — DJ Harvey and Rob Da Bank will play The Loft for Sunday Best’s 20th Birthday Bash. There's something for everyone.

1. Cocoon London at Building Six — 28th March

Sven has well and truly lifted himself into the pantheon of the greatest DJs, not just in techno, but in electronic music full stop. This month Papa Sven hits London for a special show after a milestone 2014, which saw 15 years of Cocoon and the boss’ 50th birthday, which was by all accounts a mind-blowing celebration. Sven will play an extended 5-hour set in the main room of London's Building Six, with support from Marcus Fix. Rhythmatic also join the party in room 2 to celebrate their 8th anniversary, with Dorian Paic, Steve O’Sullivan, Daylomar and Andy Luff. Don't miss it.
