Some may have steered clear of the clubs throughout January, opting for a relaxed few weeks after the festive period, maybe even partaking in Dry January, but now it’s nearly the end of the month and most likely time to get your dancing shoes on again. To help with February's clubbing decisions we’ve rounded up 10 of the best parties happening in the north of England next month. With the north home to some of the most renowned clubs and parties there’s a wealth of exciting events on offer, with Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle in our list and a plethora of stellar artists appearing across the line-ups. These parties aren't to be missed.

10. VIVa Warriors at Code Sheffield — 13th February

Steve Lawler’s VIVa Warriors continues to prove to be a popular party, even away from its White Isle home in the cold winter months. Next month sees Lawler bringing regulars Detlef and Anek to Sheffield, ensuring South Yorskshire revellers are able to get their pre-Ibiza season fix. 

9. Canal Mills presents: Resident Advisor at Canal Mills, Leeds — 21st February

Canal Mills welcomes Resident Advisor and a killer line-up including live sets from Ten Walls and KiNK, two acts whose skilful shows are regular sights on club programmes around Europe. Joining them in Room 1 will be Simian Mobile Disco, whilst Room 2 sees Oneman, Artwork and Jasper James on the bill to top off a strong and wide-ranging selection of electronic music.

8. Abandon Silence 5.3 at The Kazimier, Liverpool — 6th February

Abandon Silence continues the celebration of its 5th anniversary of shows with a big party at artsy Liverpool den, The Kazimier. Belgian pair Red D and San Soda, known collectively as FCL, join the party alongside Casino Times and Seven Davis Jr. Seven will bring his live show, whilst there will also be a number of special guests showing up alongside the Abandon Silence residents.

7. Shindig with George Fitzgerald at The World Headquarters, Newcastle — 21st February

One of the UK’s longest running clubnights, Shindig ploughs into 2015 with more star artists — this time it's Berlin-based George Fitzgerald ready to step up to the decks. 2015 could be a big year for George Fitzgerald, with his long-awaited debut album on indie label Domino still yet to see the light of day.

6. mUmU 7th Birthday at New Bird Street Warehouse, Liverpool — 7th February

mUmU has been representing underground house and techno in Liverpool for seven years now and they’ve got a stellar line-up in store to mark the milestone occasion. Cocoon affiliate Mathias Kaden will join Daniel Stefanik behind the decks for a 4-hour back-to-back set, whilst support will also come from One Records co-boss Adam Shelton and FUSE resident Rossko. This will also be the first event at mUmU’s new venue, New Bird Street Warehouse, which will be in use as an event space for the first time.

5. Selective Hearing at Sankeys, Manchester — 21st February

The Selective Hearing crew hit Sankeys with some heavyweight Panorama Bar regulars in tow. Expect some of the finest cuts of deep house and more served up by the likes of Prosumer, Prosumer, Tama Sumo, Murat Tepeli and Virginia.

4. Zutekh 6th Birthday Party at Soup Kitchen, Manchester — 6th February

One of Manchester’s top underground parties, Zutekh, returns to Soup Kitchen for its 6th birthday party. They’re bringing renowned crate digger Jeremy Underground Paris over to Manchester to play all night long, so expect a solid foundation of quality deep house with a smattering of disco, soul and funk thrown into the mix. Added to the quality soundtrack is the venue — one of the best places to party in Manchester.

3. Rinse Leeds with Daniel Avery All Night Long at Wire Club, Leeds — 14th February

Daniel Avery has been one of the UK’s biggest stars when it comes to electronic music and Rinse Leeds is delivering a special all night long set with the Drone Logic producer at Wire. 

2. Music Is Love at Sankeys, Manchester — 6th February

After a successful 2014, Music Is Love continue into 2015 with yet more quality line-ups. 6th February sees KiNK bring his exhilarating live show to Sankeys, whilst Berlin-based New Yorker Levon Vincent is also set to appear as well as Nottingham’s cult house head Nail. Scotsman The Revenge completes the line-up beside Music Is Love regulars Liam Geddes, Angus Jefford and Perry Louis.

1. Mint presents Red Bull Music Academy at Mint Club, Leeds — 27th February

RBMA team up with Mint to serve up a monumental offering of talent in the form of Joy Orbison, Ryan Elliott and Evan Baggs all playing back-to-back. With each selector possessing bags of individual style and expert track selection, it’s sure to be a special one.
