The Prodigy have a habit of kicking off their albums with massive tracks. Opener of their sixth studio LP, The Day Is My Enemy, which the band dropped yesterday, is no different.

With a stomping industrial breakbeat, the tune is reminiscent of 'Spitfire' (the first track off 2005's Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned) and comes off a clear winner compared to the lukewarm single 'Nasty' which dropped two weeks ago.

The band have promised that the "violent" new album, which drops on March 30, will "wipe the floor" with the current crop of mainstream DJs. Judging from this pummelling new cut (which is going to go down a treat witnessed live), that statement rings true. How many DJs can you imagine dropping this one?

The Prodigy head to Australia next month for Future Music Festival. Details here.
