The Chemical Brothers have revealed that they have a new album dropping next year.

The news comes off the back of the UK duo being announced on the 2015 Sónar festival bill in Barcelona, which will see them debut a new live show.

"The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way," one half of the duo Tom Rowlands said. "We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers."

The as yet untitled album will be the eighth studio effort from The Chemical Brothers, the last being 2010's 'Further'.
