Following the successful premiere of ‘Under The Electric Sky,’ a documentary profiling guests at Insomniac’s flagship Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, it appears that the action isn’t stopping there. Fox 2000 Pictures has reportedly purchased the rights to Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella’s unfinished memoir, ‘Insomniac: The Life and Times of Pasquale Rotella.’

Rotella is in the process of writing the memoir along with ‘A Million Little Pieces’ author James Frey. Publication isn’t expected until next summer, and the memoir is intended to paint the portrait of one of electronic dance music’s biggest names. In addition, Rotella will share details and personal experiences with Insomniac, Electric Daisy Carnival, and the evolution of dance music culture.

No director, writers, or actors have been selected for the film yet but Fox 2000 hopes to dig deep into EDM culture and approach Rotella’s life with an “edgy ‘8 Mile/Social Network’ mindset. Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
