With the 15th edition of EXIT Festival taking place this year, the world famous Serbian party has many surprises up its sleeve. Along with one of the biggest back-to-back lineups of any festival in the world (and could quite easily be the biggest), EXIT is once again heading on a world tour.

The next stop on tour is the legendary Ministry of Sound in London this Saturday, May 3rd, and not surprisingly, EXIT is bringing some heavy hitters along for the ride, including German heavyweights M.A.N.D.Y., Moda and Moda Black label bosses Jaymo & Andy George, Waze & Odyssey, and special guest Max Cooper, with EXIT Tour resident SE7EN in the Box.

So we caught up with Ministry of Sound promoter and talent booker Jodie Layton to find out how their relationship with EXIT came about, a few of her favourite memories from the festival, and why she thinks its important.

Can you tell us a bit about your relationship with Ministry and what you do for them? I’ve worked for Ministry for six years now and it has become my home. I work in both promotions and talent booking.

How did the relationship between Ministry and EXIT come about? We have so much love and respect for the festival and its musical ethos, that it made perfect sense for us to host the London launch. We hosted the EXIT launch party last year and had a fantastic time so we jumped at the chance to do it again this year.

What are some of your best memories of EXIT? Watching Scuba & George Fitzgerald last year on the last day of the festival.

What does EXIT mean to you, and why do you think it's an important festival? EXIT Festival is important due to the ethos and history behind the festival itself. It came from the fall of communism and overthrowing Milosevic, and started off as a 100 day event where people celebrated being free of communism. What other festival has that much history and meaning behind it?

Can you tell us a bit about what you've got planned for Ministry's part of the EXIT tour? Our line up for the Box includes M.A.N.D.Y. Special guest Max Cooper (pictured), Waze & Odyssey, Jaymo & Andy George and Exit Resident SE7EN. Hosting the 103 is Exit Festival’s London brand partner Spacestation, they are bringing with them Tom Demac, Doorly, Ossie and Residents Jordan Wade and Alexander Parade.

Come celebrate 15 years and a Best Major Festival Award win with EXIT at Ministry of Sound this Saturday, May 3rd. More info here.
