Much to the disappointment of fans who were eager to see the famed Dutch DJ perform this weekend at San Diego’s SAP Center, Tiesto unfortunately had to cancel the show after suffering from a concussion while making his way to the stage. He reportedly smashed his head on a giant flat-screen TV as he started to play his headlining set at Electric Bounce House.

He allegedly passed out beside the decks with paramedics determining that he should be sent to the hospital. Andre Saint-Albin, a DJ who was present at the gig explained: “Tiesto was walking up to the booth & hit his head on an LED screen. He was bleeding & wanted to play, but mgmt said no!” Tiesto’s accont was a little more vague: “I had an accident and got a concussion at last night’s show. Dr’s told me to rest so no show tonight.” He later linked fans to a TMZ article explaining what had happened.  The following video posted by a concertgoer shows the accident, which happened when the countdown reached 7 seconds.

This isn’t the first time that DJs have suffered from collisions with rigging. Last year, Skrillex ran into a bulwark as he was leaving a stage in Mexico.
