Time to prepare your wallets, Ultra Early Bird Festival tickets go on sale May 21st at 1pm ET on their website, www.ultramusicfestival.com. Ultra 2014 is confirmed for the last weekend in March, Friday the 28th through Sunday the 30th. A second weekend is still pending approval from the city. The stages in Bayfront Park may have been disassembled only two months ago, however as festival schedules start filling up sooner and sooner, the early bird tickets go on sale not a moment too soon. For those looking to save a few bucks, do not miss this opportunity to snatch up some General Admission tickets for $149.95, as last year they sold out in five minutes.
In its sixteenth year of production, Ultra is one of the biggest music festivals in the world with 330,000 participants. This year the massive spectacle of light and sound was streamed live online and watched by over 10 million people around the world. Indeed, no one can deny the grandiosity and scale of the event's production, which is quite the sight to behold in person. Pyrotechnics, massive elaborately lit-up stages, and gorgeous costumed dancers are just to name a few of aspects of entertainment this festival provides besides the music.
DJs from all over the world, see Ultra as a festival that has to be played at least once in their lifetime. Loyal acts such as Carl Cox have been billed since the times when the event had only 20,000 attendees. The musical caliber is held high, bringing in the best electronic music acts over seven stages. No bass driven taste is left unsatisfied as the roster features DJs who spin all forms of house music, techno, and dubstep. We look forward to hearing what Ultra has in store for 2014, but for now we'll just have to let the pictures and videos do the talking.
