Berlin's first lady of techno, Ellen Allien, has been a key figure in the rise in popularity of Berlin techno outside of the German city. 20 years going and still tastemaking, Ellen's BPitch Control label has been seen as a go to imprint for the exciting new sounds coming from the city. From Paul Kalkbrenner to Douglas Greed and more, Ellen's ear for a sturdy beat, a unique melody and dancefloor stock has helped her remain one of the city's most integral figures. Ellen kindly picked her top five musical moment from the imprint, as she gears up to join the nofitstate gang this weekend at a secret East London venue. Check them out for yourself below.

Dillon – Thirteen Thirtyfive (Deniz Kurtel Remix) – BPitch Control

A lovely trippy remix made by Deniz Kurtel

Douglas Greed – This Time (Dub) – BPitch Control

Kicks the house floor...

Thomas Muller–BPCTRL (OriginalMix) – BPitchControl

Thomas is my favorite techno producer on bpitch control

System of Survival – Cera Lacca (OriginalMix) – BPitch Control

I felt in love with System of Survival's music, i am listening to it at home and i play it all the time in the club. it reminds me at my time in ibiza.

Moderat – Rusty Nails – BPitch Control

A great, solid emo hit.

Ellen Allien plays nofitstate this Friday in London (venue TBA).
