Despite there being no official announcement about a new release of the Ableton software, a video which shows off some new features of Live 9 with a slightly updated look has recently surfaced, which means that a new version of the popular music software is most definitely on the way.
The video presents the program with a new compressor modelled after a "classic British console," slong with a host of new enhancements to the existing compressor, gate, and EQ functions in Live. You can check it all out below.
There is no news yet on when Ableton 9 will be released, however seeing as the above video actually appeared briefly on the Ableton Youtube channel, it's fair to say that not only is all this news legit, but it's most likely that the company 'leaked' the video themselves.
