Tiesto Launches AKG Headphone Line

This past summer, Tiesto was crowned the richest DJ in the world clocking in with a personal net worth of $65 million. It’s no secret that Tiesto is an accomplished producer and a superstar stadium-packing DJ.  Recently however he and his management team, are making calculated moves into the branding and marketing world.  From releasing his Guess Tiesto fashion line last, which consisted of slick watches and apparel for both men and women, to launching his very own line of professional headphones there seems to be no limit to what brands are happy to throw the name Tiesto on. For his headphone line, he’s teamed up with Austrian-based audio company AKG to launch a series of products for DJs called “AKG by Tiesto.” This line consists of three models of headphones; K67 Tiesto (Reference), K167 Tiesto (Professional), and K267 Tiesto (High Performance).  The headphones start somewhat reasonably at $99 and move all the way up tp $349.  Although I don’t know if I’d be chomping at the bit to throw down nearly $400 so that I could help promote a DJ who’ll always be infinitely more successful than me.  Obviously Tiesto will continue to pad his wallet with such ventures and diehard fans will now have another destination for their disposable income. You can find the DJ himself sporting these headphones during his performances and in the studio.
