Already a staple in London, New York, Munich, Buenos Aires, and of course Ibiza, now Sydney will finally get another taste of the renowned worldwide clubbing brand that is Pacha this summer when it launches at ivy in November. Though not just for another one off event - this time Pacha will be taking over the infamous Sydney venue for a weekly party every Saturday night, set to feature international headline DJs along with a bevy of professional dancers, aerialists, street performers, psychedelic projections and lighting which will transform ivy pool, Pool Club, Changeroom, two-storey open-air courtyard and even the surrounding laneways into a haze of activity.
“I am thrilled to be launching Pacha Sydney this summer at ivy, " says CEO of Merivale Justin Hemmes about the new partnership. "Bringing together theatre and music, we’ve handpicked the best in the industry to create this unique experience for Sydney that is sure to achieve the high Pacha benchmark loved by so many around the world – I can’t wait to open the doors!”
Taking care of proceedings to ensure the high international standards clubbers have come to expect from Pacha is world renowned creative director Ignatius Jones, whose credits include Creative Director of Sydney and Vancouver Winter Olympics opening ceremonies, Vivid Sydney Festival and Artistic Director of Sydney Mardi Gras Parade. Joining Jones is renowned theatrical director and producer Craig Ilott and a support of a team of production and choreography professionals.
Pacha’s Sydney residency at ivy officially kicks off on Saturday 24th November with the line-up of international and local DJs to be revealed in the coming weeks. Limited tickets for the launch party are available at www.pachasydney.com.
