When worlds collide…The strangest lineup ever has been announced for Art Basel Miami. A festival designed to fuse together multiple genres of music as well as art. The festival will take place Basel weekend on December 8th and 9th at Bayfront Park, the home of Ultra Music Festival. The lineup seems to be all over the map from bands, hip hop artists, and absolutely huge DJs. Sven Vath…do we need to say more?! Other DJs include DJ and BBC Radio 1 host, Pete Tong, Erick Morillo, and Bob Sinclar. Custom Built Arenas have been built for Cocoon Heroes and Circoloco. Artists outside of the DJ world include Kanye West, The Offspring, and Lou Reed.
As the UR1 website states, “This is UR1. This new festival is designed with a purpose to unite people as one through art and sounds – the world as one.”
