Major Australian touring company Chugg Entertainment is reportedly bringing US dance music festival Lights All Night to Australia in early 2013. The move into dance music is a new direction for Chugg, typically responsible for bringing out pop and rock's biggest names such as Radiohead and Kelly Clarkson. The news came from an article in the Dallas News and confirmed by Chugg Entertainment's CEO, Matthew Lazarus-Hall, to themusic.com.au.
On the deal, Lazarus-Hall said, “We're all really excited about this new venture to bring Lights All Night to our shores. It's new territory for us, delving into the electronic scene, but it's a great concept and we feel it'll work really well in Australia.”
Lights All Night is a three-day dance music festival in Texas over the New Year’s period, with this year's lineup including Tiesto, Avicii, Diplo, Bassnecatr and Sander Van Doorn.
Big news for Australia as the state of the country's festival scene is a constant hot topic, although by the looks of the footage below the Australian version of the festival is going to be big.
