Rising drum and bass star Shockone revealed to Triple J last Friday that his debut album is almost completed during the station's Take 5 programme.
"I actually came up with the final trackilisting, with names, this morning at the airport," the DJ and producer explained. "I've just got to finish off two more songs then it's all done."
Shockone also revealed that the LP will be a rather eclectic offering, as opposed to a completely d'n'b affair as some may have been expecting.
"There is obviously some drum 'n' bass [on the album] but there's also some stuff at 130 and 110 [BPM] like moombahton, house and dubstep. It's really quite all over the place but it's all energetic... ShockOne type of stuff. It's been a very long process; I don't even know how I feel about it anymore."
There is no release date as yet, however new material is set to drop this summer. We'll keep you posted on that, and until then, you listen to Shockone's recent offering 'Chaos Theory' below. Also find out what he chose as his five favorite rave tunes during the Take 5 show.
