In what will no doubt be a massive sigh of relief for many, L.A. party rockers LMFAO, also known as Redfoo and SkyBlu, have decided to call it quits. The uncle and nephew duo revealed the news this morning, with Redfoo telling news.com.au: "I feel like we've been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we're kind of like saying, well, let's just do what's natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time."
The announcement comes not along after the duo shrugged off rumours earlier this year that they were splitting due to a personal rift that had come between them.
"It's completely false. We're family at the end of the day," SkyBlu said back in April. "Blood is stronger than anything."
Redfoo also revealed that he has plans to launch his own line of tennis clothing (tennis being one of his passions - he was in the stands at the US Open rooting for friend Victoria Azarenka recently) and a solo career.
“All the music that I’m going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish. I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music.”
Want our advice, Mr. erm, Redfoo, is it? Stick with the tennis clothing line. PLEASE.
