We reported on Monday about the video that shows David Guetta playing to a 20,000 person crowd with all four faders on his mixer in the down position. As anticipated, the official excuse has surfaced from Tomorrowland in the wake of the controversy, attributing the situation to a pre-planned pyrotechnics show. What seems to thicken the plot slightly is another explanation from artist manager Sander Landsaat that Mixmag has quoted as stating:"The reason why all faders were down as claimed is because there was a power outage and a moment of silence for a good 10 mins if I remember correctly, could have even been longer. If this happens and the power comes back on you don't want the music to start playing again where it left off or at a later point in the track abruptly, because that would also create ammo for all those critics and negative people out there."
So was it a power outage or a pre-orchestrated pyrotechnics show-how could it be both?
