On August 4th, the next installment of Hold Tight - of which previous editions have featured names like Flying Lotus, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, Martyn and Gaslamp Killer - hits the Oxford Art Factory, this time around headlined by Los Angeles beatmakers Jonwayne and Mono/Poly, and supported by Germany's hip-hop OG Suff Daddy and Japan's MFP.
As one of the newest members of LA's Stones Throw Records, Jonwayne will be bringing his style of chopped up hiphop, loops, soundtracks and soul to Australia for the first time ever.
Mono/Poly has received support for his dark funk style from the likes of Thom Yorke, Erykah Badu and Benji B, and has had releases on Warp, Planet Mu and Brainfeeder.
