Homebake Announces Global Edition Line-Up For 2012

Despite its raison d'etre being a festival that brings a wholly homegrown line-up, this year Homebake are announcing a 'Global Edition', which will see things shaken up a little with the long-running event headlined by U.S. disco-pop outfit Blondie, whose 80s hits Heart Of Glass and Atomic are sure to go down a treat when they close out the mainstage.

Joining them will of course be a local contingent of acts, with the electronic side of things taken care of by one of Australia's greatest dance groups Sonic Animation, set to return from retirement to play classics like 'I'm A DJ' and 'Theophilus Thistler'. Then of course what's a festival without the new kings of Australian electronica, Seekae, who are also set to play the Domain this December.

Other notable acts for Homebake in 2012 include local hip-hop heroes Hilltop Hoods, Kimbra, and electro popster Sam Sparro. You can check out the full line-up after the official fetival video promo below.

Homebake 2012 will take place in Sydney's The Domain on Saturday December 8th. $99 tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 16th August.
