Sasse - Lucky Numbers

With the release of his new LP Third Encounter out this week on is Moodmusic imprint, we asked Sasse to pick three of his favorites, as well as give us an exclusive mix.

Berlin Restaurants: With such a diversity in the dining possibilities in Berlin I like to keep it simple. For burgers and steaks it´s all about the Bird in Prenzlauer Berg, US style service and amazing portions, really perfect for a monday hangover. For japanese it´s all about Sasaya, best of the best with a lovely masterchef who knows his customers, and the daily specialties are top notch as well.

Wines: I try to be open about wines but always come back to my favorite clssics. For whites I like the German Rieslings, always dry of course and well chilled this is perfect any dinner or party. In Reds I have a bit broader scale, liking the upscale french drops as well as the light Austrian types of Zweigelt and alike. And for the summer nights, nothing beats a Vino Verde from Portugal, served cold this is perfect for the time of the year.

Holiday Destinations: I´m not really a fan of going on holidays when everyone else does it, nor do I like to visit places like Ibiza as I see enough crazy party people on my weekly dj-trips. Usually I do a week of Finnish islands in the summer. My family has a hut on this island out of Turku which is probably the most peaceful place on this planet, so it´s all about good food and lots of fresh air and water. Another place which intrigues me is Middle America as my wife has family there. Nicaragua for example is lovely country with lots of potential in tourism and lovely, empty beaches. It can be a bit rough on the edges as far as service and comfort goes, but the people are lovely and very open.
