A few months back we brought you the news that Elton John was teaming up with his newly adopted Australian duo Pnau to perform at this year's Ibiza Rocktronic Festival. Now the first bit of material that the legendary pop star will be performing with Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes has finally been releasesd; a track called Sad, which is in fact a Pnau remix of an old Elton John song.
Actually, that's how the rest of the 'collaboration' is going to play out. The forthcoming Elton John vs Pnau album will be called Good Morning to the Sun and will see the Aussie duo remix and reinterpret their choices from Elton's back catalogue.
Check out Sad below - it's actually quite palatable and a tad reminiscent of the earlier Pnau days.
Good Morning To The Sun will be released on July 16th.
