The International Music Summit kicked off the early part of Ibiza's summer season back at the end of May and boasted a list of attending DJs, promoters, club owners and producers that stretched from Nile Rodgers to James Barton, each and every one of them outstanding in their own field. But Nile wasn't there just to jam and James didn't turn up to organise a huge rave of Creamfields proportions; the attending music industry was there to talk.
And talk it did, around issues of music ownership, the state of dance music culture, the future of EDM and much more. Unluckily for most, this all happened behind closed doors. But here's some good news. IMS has since released many of the chats, forums, interviews and discussions in video format and we've picked out our five favourites. Grab a cuppa, take a break from the piles of paperwork, stick your headphones on and have a look at these.
1.) Nile Rodgers & Pete Tong
2.) Giorgio Moroder
3.) Luciano
4.) The Future of Ibiza
5.) James Barton, Cream
