Pulse: First of all, thanks for doing the Pulse podcast. What did you use to make it and what can we expect? Warrior One: I used a shed load of lovely unreleased music and also some released stuff. A lot of it will be coming on out my King Pigeon label or Cuttin' Records that I share with my man Bojcot Selectah.
It's been a big 2011 for you, what have your highlights been? Highlights has always are meeting great people across the world, doing their thing and sharing great music. Plus settling into my home at Beetroot Studios.
We loved your remix of Bonobo's Eyes Down from last year, how did that come about? Simon (Bonobo) and I are old friends that go way back from our Brighton days. It was an honour to get my hands on his music. Top fella!
What's your favourite thing- remixing, making tunes or Dj'ing? Close call between DJing and making tunes. I think DJing just edges it for that immediate personal connection
Any plans to take your show live? Yes, 2012 will be live! Working with the fantastic Jess Naulls and shaping up our show at the minute
What's really getting you out of bed in the morning right now? My lovely girlfriend Sophie and sometimes the artists I'm working with for King Pigeon and Cuttin'. They literally wake me up in the morning! They're incredible and I'm so proud of what they are about to achieve
And what are your plans for 2012- any albums or big projects in the pipeline? An LP with Jess Naulls is coming together at the moment, also a big project with Bojcot Selectah. There's something else stirring which will have more reach than I could have imagined at the start or this year, but can't say too much yet!
Musically, who are you into at the moment? Bojcot Selectah, Murlo, Lenkemz, I O Sounds, FLN, Baxta, Des Demure, Guerilla Speakerz, Ayah Marar, Morcee, Famous Eno, Yes King, Effect Mode, Tom Demac, Greymatter, Trilla, Kozzie.
And who's been the biggest supporter of your music through your career so far? My Grandmother and my Ma and Pa! Jonny Reggae from Catskills has been hugely instrumental over the years too.
