Snowmont Music Festival Announced

2012 marks the year New England gets its first true, large-scale winter festival in the form of Snowmont, which unfolds on the slopes of Killington, Vermont from March 30 to April 1st. With Kaskade, Snoop Dogg and The Flaming Lips set to headline, the festival will sport a strong electronic line-up with Chromeo, DJ Shadow, Diplo, Porter Robinson, Z-Trip, Nervo and many more confirmed to play.

It’s another strong indication for the health of the scene that EDM is starting to attract the attention of venues and promoters not traditionally associated with dance music. With established events like Snowbombing in Austria entering it’s 13th year of operation, it’s about time the states start getting in on the fun.
