Rhythm & Vines Festival Gallery

Rhythm & Vines Festival Gallery

Rhythm and Vines kicked off with performances from some of the world’s hottest international and local acts. For starters, hiphop legend Grandmaster Flash wowed the crowds with a huge set of bangers.

Local songstress Zowie turned it up on the main stage and Australian band, Architecture in Helsinki played through sunset with their hook-laden, magnetic tunes.

Over 24,000 festival-goers poured through the Waiohika gates as Gisborne turned on the kind of sunny afternoon its known for.

Excitement levels onsite are high as revellers look forward to two more days of festival action, including performances from chart-topper Calvin Harris, Example, Six60, Cut Copy, David Dallas, Homebrew and more.

Off the back of a massive first day which saw global drum'n'bass legends Pendulum deliver an epic set as they head towards the end of their 3-year tour schedule, Rhythm and Vines opened its gates for the second day. Over 27,000 people poured in and, so did the rain - but that didnt deter the crowds who kicked their afternoon off with a rowdy set from local hiphop favourites, Homebrew.

As the rain cleared, Six60 took to the stage with the main field splitting at the seams - finishing with their huge hit, Rise Up 2.0, while over on the Vines stage, A. Skillz turned it up.
