Teen sensation Justin Bieber is considering entering the world of dubstep, with the Baby and Never Say Never singer working on a new album, tentatively titled Believe and scheduled to hit stores in early 2012.
In an interview with USA Today, the 17-year-old Canadian pop star said, “I’m about halfway through. What’s big right now are beats that are in the clubs, like dubstep. So I want to mess with that stuff, but also stay me.”
It's likely that messing around with dubstep means a production collaboration with the likes of Skrillex and other bro step producers based in the U.S; it's also highly likely that 'Bieber Step' memes will go off the chart upon the album's release. Or perhaps the young princes of UK dubstep Skream and Benga, who released a new EP available for free download today, will take their pop stardom to new heights with the even younger Bieber?
In other Bieber news, the pop star released a new video for another holiday number today. His video for “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” is essentially a steampunk imagining of the North Pole. God forgive us!
