Luke Vibert is a true innovator, whether in his Wagon Christ, Kerrier District or Amen Andrews guise or indeed as Plug. Rising to recognition back in the mid 90's from the South West scene that included the likes of Aphex Twin, Tom Middleton and Jeremy Simmonds, his first drum n bass album as Plug was ahead of its time and helped pave the way for modern drum n bass as we know it now. Drum N Bass For Papa was the album that was released back in 1996 and now, in 2011, Luke Vibert has found a stack of DAT tapes with some previously unreleased material under his Plug guise. Altogether neglected and forgotten about, he's revived the tunes that were made between 1995 and 1998 and this lost work is now set for release as an album entitled Back On Time in January next year. And here's one of the tracks- we think you'll agree it sounds just as fresh as it would've back then and maybe even pushes the boundaries of drum n bass that little bit further...
Plug- Back On Time is out on Ninja Tune on January 9th 2012
