iPad 3 rumours are coming in thick and fast as reports are saying that the new device will be thicker than its predecessor in order to make way for a high-resolution screen. The iPad 2 was slimmed down from the original but the next next generation model is said to be bulkier. It is rumoured that the iPad 3 will have a 2048 x 1536 high-res screen - double that of the iPad 2. Apple will need an improved backlighting system which will increase the thickness of the device by 0.8mm.
