It's hard to talk about myself, specially to give you guys some background on my life as a dj and producer. I guess i could start by saying i come from Juarez, the most dangerous city in the world, of course, in Mexico. I used to listen to a lot of hip-hop and trip-hop, wu-tang, j-five, and madlib were always on my stereo, then in the late 90's i went to my first rave party and i got instantly hooked by the music. I've been playing for about ten years or so and producing on and off for about seven, ever since i haven't stopped and i think i could say this is only beginning for me. Lately i've landed a couple of releases on labels such as Crosstown Digital Rebels, Proton Limited and Add2Basket Records, also i hold a residency at Hardpop Club in my home town. The good fellas from Pulse Radio asked me to pick five tracks from my favorite mexican producers, it was kind of hard to choose only five since there is so much good music coming out from Mexico lately, but in no sepcific order here they are.
Balcazar - La Suma De Dos [Neim]
This track is an absolute beauty, i think it really shows how skillful Balcazar is not only producing high quality sounds but also writing one of the best pieces there is out there, this has to be on my top ten tracks of all times.
Cubenx - Lovebirds [InFiné]
Excellent track to warm up the dancefloor or an after party killer, this track really sets the mood but you have to be very careful to choose the time to drop this bomb otherwise you could get burned.
Signal Deluxe - Yerba Buena [Pantamuzik]
Jerga and Valeria deliver a very cool groover, superb drumming skills right here and vocals to die for, great mid set track to get the crowd pumping.
Balcazar & Sordo - Wake Me Up [Noir]
Marco and Gabriel teamed up earlier this year and they have come up with some very serious tunes, absolute quality stuff, this track is my personal favorite, it has that slo-mo vibe that's so popular lately but with a distinctive touch that makes it so special.
Miguel Puente - Cruel Intentions
Miguel is relatively new to me but he sure has talent and i'm already hooked on this track, i love the summer like synth stabs and the whole vibe of the track it's just great, i feel like dancing every time i hear this one.
