Catz N Dogz- Afterhours Top Ten

Catz N Dogz- Afterhours Top Ten

Polish duo Catz N Dogz have gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years.  WIth the launch of their very own label, Pets Recordings, last year they've worked with and alongside the likes of Maceo Plex, Chmera Winter, Martin Dawson and Pol_On.  Their Friends Will Carry You Home EP series is now on its third release, due out on November 25th, and next year will see the duo performing across the world and releasing their first album.  Non stop busy, we managed to catch five minutes with them to pick up their top ten after hour hours tracks.

Cheek - Venus (pepe_bradocks_saucy_precog_remix) [Versatile]

This is actually one of our first ever record purchases and it holds a lot of memories. I don't know if there is anything that makes people more happy than this track. Orginal is also cool but we prefer to play Pepe's remix.

Alland Byallo - Eyes closed, Looking in [Dirt Crew]

Our secret weapon! At the beginning we were not so sure about this track but when we played it for the first time we understood its power. I think it was somewhere at the after-hour in Mexico. People seem to go into some kind of trance when they hear it, the dancefloor is like a bubble and time is frozen.

51 Days - Paper Moon

This one is tricky. You really have to choose your moment to play it well. And it works actually only with a more educated crowd. But when it works, it's always the track of the night. Also the track is always fun to mix because it's building slowly and you can play with the chords.

Laurent Garnier- Gnanmankoudji (Live trumpet version by Kuba Sojka)

I'm not actually sure if this track was ever released but what i do know is that this is one of the best Polish remixes EVER! Definitely for a big room after hour.

Soul Clap - Definition (Unreleased Till Von Sein Remix) [Airdrop]

It's a deeper version of the remix that Till did for Soul Clap and was never released. Hmm what can I say- pure magic!

Jay Shepheard - Add Arp [Retrofit]

First Release on our friend's label. John has a big talent for melodies. From the first chord people always freak out. You play this track when you see that people don't have much more energy to dance, It's like a fresh wind hahaha.

Bibio - Lovers Carvings (Catz 'n Dogz remix)

Yes it's kinda selfish to write about your own music but we can't help it. People ask us to play this track at every party and we've started to play it always at the very end, this is the right moment. When you think that nothing more can happen, play this one.

Dj Gregory - Elle (Ame Piano remix)

I don't think so many people play this track. We really like what Dj Gregory is doing and with the combination of Ame it works perfectly.

Mudd - 54B

Our friend Mike showed us this track and also Till von Sein was always playing it too. We never knew how great it would work until we played it one time at the end of the set. M.A.G.I.C.!

Arado & Den Ishu - R.U.W.M

We guess if Moodyman ever heard this he wouldn't be the most happy person in the world lol. It's a really good edit of one of his classics. Works always. It's adding a lot of groove to the original and everybody knows this vocal.

Catz N Dogz - Friends Will Carry You Home (P.III) is out this Friday, November 25th on Pets Recordings
