Tim Green, the 26 year old DJ and producer from London, returns to the capital on October 15th to play alongside Visionquest's Laura Jones and Kollectiv Turmstrasse at Bedlam. Anyone who was there for the last Bedlam party in March with Art Department will know that Tim's a true force to be reckoned with on the decks and his production credentials speak for themselves too, with remixes for Friendly Fires and MANDY as well as releases on Cocoon and Get Physical amongst others. Pulse caught up with him ahead of the gig to quiz him on just what he's feeling at the moment. Here are his five Bedlam Bangers.
Seuil : Freakin 4 - (Franco Cinelli Rmx) - Harry Klein
Tim: Lovely straight up classic house vibe to this. Amazing production as usual from Seuil. Simple, slower and deeper track. I play this litterally every set. Great way to start the night I think.
Coat Of Arms: Lovin' Together - Pets Recordings
Tim: Coat Of Arms is really on fire at the moment. This is a new track on Pets Recordings, Catz n Dogz brilliant new label. Is bottom heavy throughout! But it really grooves halfway through after the main drop. When a more Dirtybird style bassline comes in for the drop. Works great. With another weirdly used vocal sample similar to his other releases.
Pedramovich: Sizemore (Clement Meyer Remix) - Save You Records
Tim: Pure Tool record. Is fun to mix this with any record. Adds instant beefyness! The snare/clap really cuts through.
Roman Fluegel: Lush Life Libido - Dial
Tim: Awesome track from his album on Dial. Lovely simple melody. Such a nice pallete of sounds used to create the track. Has a lovely underlying groove.
Liviu Groza: Mean Fine - Raoul Records
Tim: Great bounce and groove to this. Has a nice stripped back feel to it. Quite loopy, but weird feeling throughout thanks to the eery held chords in the background.
