There's trouble afoot at the mecca of dance music. It has been reported that nine Brits have been arrested after police busted one of the biggest drugs gangs operating in Ibiza. Thirteen suspects in total are being held after a massive haul of drugs was seized after armed officers made a series of raids on the island.
A statement released by the Civil Guard states:
“This operation has completely dismantled the most active group of British drug dealers in Ibiza. Those under arrest are members of the most active organisation on the island, the principal supplier of cocaine and other designer drugs around nightclubs.”
3,600 ecstasy pills, 4 kilos of cocaine, 5 kilos of MDMA powder, 53 grams of cannabis resin and £60,000 cash was captured by the Ibizan Civil Guard’s Organised Crime Squad. In a scary twist, some of the drugs seized are being linked to the death of Jodie Nieman, who became fatally ill after going out clubbing in Ibiza.
On a bit of a lighter note, here's a video preview of the upcoming Space Closing Fiesta on October 2nd.
