The search for Burn Studios The Next Producer Star 201 has now come to a close. The final lucky winner was Arnas D who is awarded the incredible opportunity to fly to Sasha’s studio in New York to collaborate with him on a release for his new label Last Night on Earth. (Listen to the winning remix here) There was an amazing response to this years competition with over a thousand impressive remixes of Sasha’s 2011 IMS anthem Cut Me Down submitted.

The fourteen finalists, all up-and-coming producers, were flown to the burn studios Hacienda in Ibiza for a money- can’t-buy opportunity to take part in a 5-day intensive production bootcamp. The program, developed by SAE Institute with support from Avid providing state-of-the-art pro audio equipment, included mentoring sessions and master classes from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Cassius, the Gomma Records collective and Beatport’s CEO Matt Adell. Lessons covered a wide range of topics such as acoustics, synthesis technology and music business, combined with practical applications using the burn studios audiotool music production platform.
