Burning Man - Rights Of Passage

Burning Man isn't a myth or fairy tale as one might assume. It's very real, every year around the first week of September, 50,000 people gather in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada and a city is erected from scratch atop the blank surface. For the first time in 25 years of holding the Burning Man event, they have sold out and had to cut off ticket sales before the event. This is going to be a Burning Man of epic proportions. 



A week later, the city as always will disappear into dust, leaving no trace. Each incarnation is a new experiment in radical self-expression, self-organization and self-reliance. Burning Man is the biggest party on planet Earth. See for yourself.

Burning Man is also an ever expanding year-round culture based on the Ten Principles. Black Rock City is laid out like a clock with different life moments assigned to the letters. This year the theme is Rights Of Passage and street names have been named accordingly: Anniversary, Birthday, Coming Out, Divorce, Engagement, Funeral, Graduation, Hajj, Initiation, Journey, Kindergarten, and Liminal.



Burning Man also attracts the worlds best DJ's from all genre's that set up on stages through out the week and keep you dancing through the Burn. Pulse has been able to get their hands on the Disco Knights and Opulent Temple stage line ups and set times (follow the links). Disco Knights bringing the likes of Magda, Art Department, Wolf + Lamb, Dirtybird favourites; Christian Martin, Justin Martin and J Phlip, and finishing off with a Visionquest Vs Hot Natured stand off. Wow.

If you're one of the lucky one's who got their hands on a ticket for this years Burning Man, kicking of next week August the 29th - September 5th, you may meet a couple of fantastic people that were part of creating Pulse.
