Slam's Positive Education is one of those all-time classic techno tracks you just can't mess with, and Stuart & Orde, aka Slam, are also in charge of one of the UK's longest standing and best loved tech labels, Soma.

Comparisons between Detroit and Glasgow, Scotland's industrial second city where Soma is based, are too many to mention and its musical output is certainly of a similar ilk with the label well and truly leading the techno charge for the UK and beyond.  This year, Soma celebrates its 20th birthday and to mark its epic journey so far is releasing a triple CD on 19th September.  It consists of a Soma Classics CD, a Slam DJ mix of their favourite 2011 remixes plus a Silicone Soul DJ Mix of their choice back-catalogue tracks.  To whet your appetite, here's a free mix to download from Slam.
