Mr Vincenzo Ragone of Pokerflat and Dessous fame, has just been added to the bill for CO-OP on the 4th of June, with fellow Berliner Iron Curtis playing an epic four hour set at a secret inner-city venue.
Iron Curtis’ pieces originate in a place simultaneously tuned to the sounds of Detroit, Chicago and Hamburg. In his hometown of Nuremberg, Johannes Paluka is more familiarly known under his surname, which he goes by at the turntable. Intertwining deep House with soulful techno and intergalactic disco in a disturbingly enchanting manner, his sound moves in the equilibrium of reduced, but never minimal. Flashes of kitsch brighten the dark universe of Iron Curtis, but fail to interfere with the fact that he makes and breaks profound music for the dance-floor.
Vincenzo, one of CO-OP's favourite guests, who tore The Civic to absolute shreads back in 2009, returns to claims his place in the history of the CO-OPerative by being the first DJ to appear twice at one of their events. Not only is he one of the best in the busines of deep Disco and deeper House DJing, he's an A-grade producer and remixer with releases spanning over 10 years on prominent labels including Steve Bug's Dessous and Pokerflat, !K7 and Liebe*Detail. He also runs the Teardrop imprint with Lovebirds from his current home in Berlin.
Final release tickets are on sale now and the venue is limited in capacity to 150 people so this is going to be tight. Get in quick.
