Need more of this!

The mysterious envelope below came to the Fool’s Gold office, A-Trak´s record label. It included a letter and something wrapped in a folded magazine page, sealed with scotch tape. Inside that makeshift sub-envelope was this letter and enclosed one dollar. Here’s the jist of the letter: A fan in Czech Republic wanted to buy Barbra Streisand legally but all the territory restrictions blocked off his country. So his solution was to download it from a blog and mail the record company $1! As he wrote in his letter: “1 buck (or duck?)”. Amazing.



The significance of this one dollar is awesome. Free music is available and wonderful but the production of such music costs money and for the music to keep coming we must support the artists and record labels so they can continue. Who doesn't have a dollar to spare?
