Ryan Crosson Top Five

Ryan Crosson Top Five

Visionquest are coming to Birmingham this Easter weekend, bring along Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves, Subb-An, Adam Shelton and Lee Curtiss.  Playing the day after Ibiza's Circoloco daytime event and Hot Natured's after hours warehouse party on 7th April, the crew will round off proceedings from midday until 3am on 8th April in the newly re-opened Courtyard venue at The Rainbow.  To give us a glimpse of just what to expect come 2012's first Bank Holiday, Ryan Crosson has delivered his Top Five tracks exclusively to Pulse.

1. Footprintz - Keys to the Sky

This could be their year for sure. Keys to the Sky is of many exceptional tracks from their upcoming album. Pure bliss.

2. Paulus Timepiece I-IV

This is a project that Greg Paulus from NoRegularPlay and his Father worked on with the Minnesota Orchestra. It had been something Greg had wanted to do for a while. Working with the orchestra they blended electronics, jazz and classical into a 30 minute pieces divided into 4 segments. It's available online for anyone, highly recommended.

3. Guy Gerber - The Mirror Game

This is the A side to Guy's new single coming out on VQ in March. Per usual for Guy this an absolutely beautiful gem full of emotion.

4. Taras Van De Voorde & Boris Ross - Don't Stop Us (Surrealism Remix)

I'm not usually a fan of R&B type vocals in dance tracks but the Surrealism remix of this track is too good to deny. The vocal reminds me of basement dance parties when I was a teenager with a proper baseline to boot.

5. Blondes - Business (John Roberts Remix)

I've been slacking a bit on my John Roberts since his great Glass Eights album on Dial but I'm happy to find his latest remix on RVNG. Nothing too flashy, solid with good use of ethnic percussions.
