Here's our pick of ten of the best places in the world to celebrate NYE.
EASTERN ELECTRICS AND ELECTRIC MINDS IN LONDON
We've got 2 picks from London, and both are electric. First up is eastern electrics. The location hasn't been released yet but the party is called 'Back To The Tunnels', so that could be an indication. Rooms will be hosted by Mulletover & Crosstown Rebels, Bloc. and MMM & Sound Pellegrino.
Next up is Electric Minds 6zer0. On a slightly smaller scale, in a small venue, this guarantees to be friendly and intimate. Featuring a host of Hackney locals and headlined by Commix and Duffstep with his live set.
BLKMARKET IN NEW YORK
This one is for serious heads with excessive levels of stamina. Blkmarket are hosting a 30 hour party at New York's hotly tipped new venue, District 36. Helping the Blkmarket crew ring in the New Year will be Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz, Alexi Delano, Pan-Pot, Konrad Black and more.
ELECTRIC PICKLE IN MIAMI
Wolf + Lamb Music has spent most of 2010 in the spotlight, as have artists affiliated with and running the label. Label heads Gadi and Zev are taking their Wolf + Lamb project to The Electric Pickle for New Years Eve along with Art Department performing live. This one is a dress up party and if previous shenanigans at The Pickle are anything to go by, things are going to get loose, loose, LOOSE!
MAD RACKET IN SYDNEY
Sydney's infamous Mad Racket crew bring you their biggest party of the year on December 31st, with special guests Chris Duckenfield and Session Victim. As per usual, The Racketeers - Zootie, Ken Cloud and Simon Caldwell - will be throwing down support in the 'Bowl-O-Sonic Ballroom' with the 4th Racketeer, Jimmi James, holding it down in the locker lounge with Prize, Adam McConnell and Sinclair.
TRUST US IN MELBOURNE
A selection of Melbourne crews, including Darkbeat, Sunny and No Nonsense, are teaming up to bring you a hefty international line up supported by some of Melbournes finest locals. Steve Lawler will be heading up the celebrations alongside Freq Nasty, Chris Fortier, Nick Curly, Will Saul, SLAM, Sebastian Legar and more.
COCORICO IN RICCIONE
When you have Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos going back to back for 12 hours, you don't really need to say much else. Italians really do, do it better.
WOMB IN TOKYO
Womb is regarded as one of the best clubs in the world and the majority of DJs that play there will say it's one of the best parties they've played. In living up to their name, Womb are hosting a New Years Eve party with 2 highly respected Djs, who both happen to be mainstays on the Minus label, Magda and Marc Houle.
CIRCO LOCO IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Ibizan party crew Circo Loco will take their infamous party to Mexico this New Year's Eve. Residents Tania Vulcano & Clive Henry will be joined by regulars Dan Ghenacia and Audiofly with more artists to be announced. The all-night shindig kicks off at 10pm. The main event takes place at the Coco Maya Beach Cluba, and is followed by an afterhours beach party that runs until 2pm. More DJs are still due to be announced.
BERGHAIN / PANORAMA BAR IN BERLIN
There is a reason why Berlin is thought of as the 'place to be' for electronic music and that reason is the abundance of weekend long parties at venues like Bar 25, Watergate and Berghain / Panorama Bar. New Years Eve in Berlin will be no different, and if you are lucky enough to be in town on December 31st, you will have more than enough options, one of those being Klubnacht Total Silvester 2010 at Berghain / Panorama Bar. The line up is mammoth (to say the least) with Ostgut Ton is hosting both floors. Expect all the usual residents, plus the likes of Dixon, Radioslave, Tom Clarke, Jerome Sydenham and Adam Beyer.
