Sean basically started out playing, by just messing around on some
decks, and soon realised he had found a new passion. He was living
with his best mates who were DJ's & acquired some of his skills threw
them, & eventually bought his own turntables, and teaching himself to
mix.....it started slowly from there.
Influenced by friends, Sean started playing electro but realised this
wasn't his style. Soon he listened to his first minimal tech record,
which completely changed his outlook on music. Since then Sean has
developed his own unique style, which he would express as being
“bouncy, percussion filled, dirty driving minimal!
Having a passion for the underground music , he draws his inspiration
from and accredits his influences & sound to international & national
producers & DJ's such as Format B, Phil Kieran, Dubfire, Frankie,
Super Flu, Apoll, Pig & Dan, Dapayk & Padburg , Nick Lumb, Jimmy
Chronic, Garth Vader & Morne Munro.
Before moving to Australia, Sean has played at various spots in Port
Elizabeth, his home-town in South Africa, which include 52
Parliament, Wacky Woods, Gondwana Cafe, 123 Parliament just to
name a few.
Having the support of his fellow DJ's & best
friends Nick Lumb & Jimmy Chronic ,Sean is venturing back into the
Joburg underground scene on his next trip home. Now here in
Melbourne, Sean is hoping to continue his passion here, and show you
how South African boys do it....... M N M L!
