With Roland M. Dill we have signed our first home based artist from Cologne for a long time.
Roland M. Dill has won a couple of DJ contests in the Rhein area and is a person who likes
the challenge of physical extremes. His passion is ice climbing, where he throws the axe
rhythmically in the glacier wall and has successfully climbed the Chimborazo.
He likes to DJ at least with 3 record players and if that all sounds a bit worrying... well he
is a guy that knows what he is doing.
Roland’s release on Trapez ltd in February 2008 was his first one and a stunning debut.
Quite untypical for the Cologne scene, that has lived some years from the inspiration of
Wolfgang Voigt, we witness here a fresh new style.
His release shows his skill to be accurate, physical and at the same time very funky. His
influences range from Chicago Jack trax to Adam Beyer, which he revealed with his tracks
the "8th Day" and "9th Day".
